Invisalign aligners can effectively treat a wide variety of orthodontic conditions, including crooked teeth, over and under-bites and overcrowding.
Your dentist will be happy to assess your individual needs and advise the most appropriate form of treatment.
The process involves creating a series of bespoke aligners that, when worn as advised, gradually manoeuvre the teeth into the desired position.
The dentist will initially assess your teeth to determine the best treatment for you. Invisalign may not be the most appropriate treatment for your case and we will advise you of the options that are available to you.
If you are suitable for Invisalign treatment then we will first take impressions of your teeth so that your bespoke aligners can be created. These are then collected at your next appointment and your dentist will show you how to use them correctly.
Return appointments then take place every six to eighteen weeks, where we will supply you with the next set of aligners and check progress.
The treatment typically takes between 6 to 18 months, with the exact time dependent on each individual case and the extent to which the teeth need to be moved.
The aligners must be worn every day for at least 22 hours as advised.
