If you are looking for a first-rate Children’s Dentist in Ascot, then the caring approach at Eledent Smiles makes us a great choice to get young teeth and gums off to the best possible start. Our friendly, experienced team use the latest treatments and state-of-the-art equipment to provide outstanding care at competitive prices.
We strongly recommend that parents and guardians introduce children to the experience of going to the dentist at an early age – and then continue to bring them along to the practice as they grow for regular check-ups. This enables us to monitor the progress of their teeth as they grow and take prompt action where necessary.
Many children are apprehensive about going to the dentist, which can develop into greater anxiety in later life. This can be protected against by reassuring early experiences that build a positive mindset. Familiarity with the sights and sounds of a dental practice allows children to feel more comfortable in that environment in future.
"Myself, my wife and both my children have been coming to Fankel Dental Care now Eledent Smiles for many years now. We have always been impressed with their professionalism, courtesy and particularly how they explain what they are doing, what they are looking for and always explain every option when it comes to treatment.
Thank you to to whole team at Eledent Smiles."Simon Metcalf
The official guidance is that children should be registered with a dentist in the period between birth and their first teeth coming through (usually when they are around six months old).
It is recommended that children’s teeth be brushed twice a day for around two minutes using fluoride toothpaste. The second time should be just before they go to bed. Brushing should be supervised by an adult up until the age of seven, at which point children should be able to manage by themselves.
Only a smear of toothpaste is needed for very young milk teeth. At the age of three this can be increased to a pea-sized amount. Care should be taken with the choice of toothpaste as they contain varying amounts of fluoride. The amount of fluoride in a toothpaste used by a child should be somewhere between 1,000 and 1,500 ppm.
We aim to make our treatments as affordable as possible and ensure our prices for Children’s Dentistry are competitive compared to other local dentists. Our latest prices can be found on our Fees Page. Please call 01344 297 001 for more details.
